Itsekkin suosittelen UBuntu netbook remixiä koneeseen, siinä on varmaan kaikki paremmin tuettuna kuin Linpuksessa.
Seurattuani tätä keskustelua juolahti mieleen kokeilla myös tuota komentoriviä, koska minulla sattuu olemaan tässä Asus Eee 901 netbookissa juuri kokeilussa Ubuntu 9.04 netbook remix.

Ja kuten arvata saattaa, scanneri ei toimi.
Sillä tavalla erilainen lopputulos kyllä, että tuo ehdotettu scanimage -L antoi eri vasteen, eikä sanonut mitään kamerasta:

Eipä silti, en ole sitä kameraakaan vielä saanut syttymään. Roottina ajoin ne myös, eikä ollut mitään eroa.
Niin, tämä monitoimilaite on eri merkkiä kuin tuossa edellä kohtalotoverilla, tämä on Epson Stylus DX 7400. Tässä toimii tulostus tällä netbook remixillä aivan loistavasti. Xsandrosilla en sitä saanut pelaamaan.
