Analytical Data Scientist to work with algorithms

ABOUT THE ROLE

Academic Work is looking for a data scientist to our client Moprim Oy.

This job is a staffing position, which means that you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Moprim Oy.

JOB DUTIES

As a Data Scientist you will work as a part of company’s R&D team developing artificial intelligence and machine based algorithms and models. The company’s core area is to develop motion sensing analytics used in various operating environments and your role also contains applying algorithms in company’s product. Additionally, testing the existing algorithms with Python is included in your role to ensure their functioning.

R&D team consists of two colleagues and you will be provided with a through induction by these senior colleagues. Due to the small size of the team, you will get the change to take responsibility and learn from skillful colleagues. Additionally, you will get to learn new technologies.

Keywords: Python (NumPy, SciPy), algorithms (Kalman or Complementary filters)

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our ideal candidate has a suitable academic background within mathematics, computer science or other related field or is graduating in the near future. Master’s level or higher university degree is preferred, but not required. We expect you to have understanding of basic principles for accelerometer, gyroscope sensors or data analysis techniques. Additionally, you have some knowledge of Python for example from your studies. Lastly, fluent English is required, since it is the working language in the company.
