Apuja langattoman gprs-modeemin kanssa

Haku ei antanut aiheesta mitään, tai sitten en hakenut asioita oikeilla nimillä.

Kyseessä on n. 4 vuotta vanha Telewell gprs-modeemi.
Käytin sitä windowsissa aikoinaan.

En kuitenkaan saa yhteyttä rakennettua Xandroxissa. Osaisiko joku jelpata? Tuosssa alhaalla lokia:

sanoisin että tuossa on ongelman ydin.

Googletin tuon rivin ja eräällä foorumilla puhuttiin jotain puhelinnumeron muuttumisesta.
Sitten löysin tällaisen ohjeen:

Try removing the novjccomp and/or the nobsdcomp options in /etc/ppp/peers/edge

Ei mitään hajua mitä tuo tarkoittaa ???

Itsellä sama laite. Kesällä koitin saada pelittämään Debianissa, ja ultimate target Zauruksessa. Homma jämähti alkuunsa työkiireiden alettua, mutta Knoppixilla toimi heittämällä. Ehkä sitä tutkimalla voisit saada jotain vinkkiä.

kehoitettaneen poistamaan /etc/ppp/peers/edge:stä (asetustiedosto?) vaihtoehdot novjccomp ja/tai nobsdcomp.
