ABOUT THE ROLE
Academic Work is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer for our client Gryphon Secure, Canadian-based company offering ultra-secure mobile and fixed line telecommunications solutions for government, enterprise and military organizations world-wide. They are growing and want to strengthen their product development in Finland. This is a new position in Finland.

JOB DUTIES
In this position, your main job is to build and develop SW for Gryphon Secure’s newest product that is running Linux, and has several connectivity features. You will work tightly with cross-functional teams to innovate, define, design, build and deliver new features for embedded Linux platform. This is a new position in Finland but you will be supported with your colleagues who are world-class experts in product development, software development, quality assurance and information security.
The job includes:
-Software development, debug, release and maintenance for Linux based, Gryphon Secure computing and connectivity product.
-Ensuring and maintaining software code/applications usability, reliability, robustness, performance and quality
-Working tightly with cross-functional teams to innovate, define, design, build and deliver new features for embedded Linux platform
Gryphon Secure offers a change for you to develop a new, unique product in an international company. You will focus on embedded Linux platform programming but you will have a change to widen your expertise to, for example, Android OS and iOS application development or in a server programming and set-ups according to your own ambitions. WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, engineering or economics and hands-on experience (from work or your own projects) with C, C++ and scripting languages on embedded Linux platforms. You are also familiar with Wi-Fi Kernel module. You are energetic and enthusiastic to develop and you have excellent English communication skills. Finnish is considered as a plus but is not necessary.

-1-2 years of hands-on experience (from work or your own projects) with C and C++ on ARM based Linux platforms.
-Experience with Communication module Linux drivers like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
-Experience in network programming, Yocto projects, ARM architecture or secure communication protocols and standards (for example VPN, IPsec, SIP, XMPP) are considered as a big plus, but not necessary.
