Academic Work is looking for an IT- Support for our client company.

Your primary responsibility will be providing first line support for the company’s global Cruise vessel customers. You will receive and respond to problem reports and questions, and be responsible for each case from the beginning to the end. You will manage a number of cases at the same time and work on them with Linux.
Your daily work involves tasks such as troubleshooting customers’ live systems via SS connection and analyzing log files. You will also test system configurations, analyze data, and communicate with customers and colleagues. When other Eniram departments are needed in order to solve some issues, you will co-ordinate the efforts.

First line support in Linux environment
Customer service via email and phone
Troubleshooting customers’ live systems, analyzing log files and data in addition to testing system configurations

The person we are looking for is well familiar with Linux and its different applications. You have or still are studying a relevant field of technology on a university level. You hold excellent English skills in addition to a self-navigating attitude towards your work. Since you will work closely with the customers, it is crucial that you also have the right attitude towards customer service – active but patient. Please note that Finnish is not required.
To be successful in the role you must have
Relevant studies on a university level (IT, engineering)
Excellent English skills, both written and oral
Knowledge and experience in the Linux-environment (SSH, XML, shell script)
The applications run in Linux-environment, so the more you know, the better!
It is also seen as an advantage if you have earlier worked in IT-Support and are familiar with coding. We are not, however, looking for a coder, but a logical engineer with “get it done” attitude and a good sense of bad humor!
