DESCRIPTION
Academic Work is looking for Junior Developer for our client K-Ryhmä.
This job is a staffing position, which means that you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at the client company. All candidates are kindly asked to direct all questions to Academic Work esp01@academicwork.fi.
JOB DUTIES
K-Ryhmä has various agile business and software developing teams, which are driven by wanting to give a great customer experience. The success of the teams is fully based on highly motivated, enthusiastic professional team members and innovative atmosphere.
In this position you will join K-Ryhmä´s API and Microservices team. K-Ryhmä cooperates with some of the top modern software development companies, which means you will get to work with experienced business and software experts from, for example, Nitor, Reaktor, Futurice and Columbia Road. In this position you will use agile modern methods and tools such as Node.js TypeScript and AWS and Heroku.
The job includes:
- Create new microservices / APIs based on business needs
- Review and import features developed in other DevOps teams into existing assets
- Define and support best practices in microservice / API development
- Maintain existing shared Node.js & TypeScript assets in AWS and Heroku

WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate has a suitable academic degree and knowledge of modern web developing technologies. You are interested in working with Node.js and microservices architecture and cloud. In addition to school courses you have done some work in your own projects with at least one of these technologies. You like to work as a part of team and are able to work self-sufficiently. Your mindset is creative and you like to present your own ideas and solutions. Most importantly of all, you are interested in creating high quality customer experiences with digital solutions. You are able to communicate fluently in English and in Finnish.

- Great communication skills and ability to work also independently
- Fluent English skills
