Job description
Academic Work is looking for Web Developer to our client Clara Finland. The work is part-time, approximately 2-3 days a week. There is a possibility to work remotely in this position.
This job is a staffing position, which means that you will be employed by Academic Work with a fixed-term contract and work as a consultant at Clara Finland.
Job duties
In this position, you will mainly be working with PHP and Javascript creating Wordpress plugins for different kind of forms, e.g. for registering as a monthly donator. These forms submit the information to Clara CRM/ERP SaaS service via REST API. Important part of the work are form validations and good visible error messages. Besides the mentioned technologies you will need to use HTML5 and CSS as well.
Your job will be JIRA ticket based and it requires you to be able to work independently. The goal is to make forms that are easy to understand and use and customize for different customer websites with CSS. You will be collaborating with the team leader and another part-time employee.

Our client company is a small startup and has a relaxed working environment. Their customers are non-profit organizations. A candidate with the right skillset and capabilities could be able to continue working for the company with their SaaS product development after the initial three month assignment. Thus, our ideal candidate also knows Ruby on Rails, or has the capacity to learn it quickly in order to grow within the company.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate has previous work experience with similar duties, for example through an internship or through own project. Knowledge of Javascript, PHP, CSS and HTML5 is a requirement as well as previous experience with WordPress-based websites. You preferably speak Finnish, but fluent English is the minimum requirement. Quick learning and eagerness to learn are important traits for success in the job.
