Presence Capture program in Nokia Technologies, is building a video and audio solution to transmit 3D presence in Virtual Reality.
We are looking for a Principal FPGA Implementation Engineer to join our OZO team.
In this role, you will be working on the design and development of commercial imaging systems taking responsibility for leading research and development of imaging systems utilising silicon sensors – involving FPGA design and implementation, managing constraints, timing closure, clock management and power optimization.
The successful candidate will have a relevant MSc/PhD degree with a proven background in the following:
- A proven track record of development of products to commercial market is a must

10+ years of experience from FPGA synthesis, technology mapping, place and route -
Deep understanding of FPGA and SoC architectures -
5+ years of experience on scripting EDA tools, especieally TCL(/TK) -
7+ years of experience on advanced FPGA design, test and verification -
4+ years of experience from high speed serial I/O -
3+ years of experience of interfacing with AXI -
3+ years of experience of peripheral IP integration (SPI, I2C, I2S, USB…) -
Experience on embedded system design & HW/SW co-design is preferred -
Demonstrable experience on image and video processing -
Experience from DDR interfaces -
Excellent command of low power design and power optimization -
Excellent Command of high speed design and optimization -
Demonstrable experience on scripting languages e.g. python -
Verilog/SystemVerilog experience is a plus
In addition, we would expect:
