Job description:
We are looking for ambitious Senior Developers to join our experienced development team. You will participate in building HTML5 services for tablets, smartphones and computers. You understand HTML5 is only a buzzword and that the real change is the move of logic from back end to front end. You will work in close collaboration with our UX Developers who take care of the HTML/CSS in the front-end view layer.
As the field is developing rapidly the work is often R&D oriented and you will need to follow the latest open source technologies. You will use your expertise to choose the right technologies to meet and exceed the customers’ expectations on the next generation web app look & feel.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Building single-page-apps by applying a JS MVC framework (such as Backbone.js) to the front end
Building back ends for single-page-app architecture online services by providing a REST API with Node.js / Express
What we look for:
A strong programming background and genuine interest in learning the next thing
Motivation to follow and study the latest technologies
Solid expertise in building MVC in back-end (we will train you to apply this expertise in the front-end)
Proven skills in JavaScript
Fluent written and spoken English
What we appreciate:
Familiar with JS MVC frameworks (i.e. Backbone.js)
Familiar with JS UI frameworks (i.e. JQuery Mobile), CoffeeScript, Less/Sass, Twitter Bootstrap
Understanding of software development processes
Degree in software engineering
Blogging and microblogging
Experience in using Linux systems and version control systems (Git)
Experience in Node.js (Express), Python (Django) and PHP (Zend Framework)
Well familiar with MySQL databases, SQL and MongoDB
Experience in building scalable web sites and caching on different layers (Memcache, Varnish)
