About the role
Academic Work is looking for a Software Designer to our client Kempower Oy.

Job duties
Kempower designs, manufactures and sells charging solutions for electronic traffic. The supplies consist of chargers, software and services. As a Software Designer you work together with Kempower’s internal and external stakeholders such as project management team and technology managers. Your main tasks include standardization and constructing communication between vehicles. Later on, you will also get to design Kempower’s own components with electronics design team.
The chief designer will orientate you to your tasks. Commonly used technologies in product development are C, C++, Python and Node.js. Supporting software used in the team are Slack, Jira and Basecamp.

We are looking for
Our ideal candidate has technical educational background (e.g. electronics, software) and at least a basic understanding of electronics. In order to succeed in this position it is important that you have some relevant work experience either from previous jobs or own projects, however motivation and ability to learn new things are more important than your experience. You are active, responsible and independent employee, who is eager to develop one’s own skills. Fluent English skills are required in this position and Finnish skills are considered as an advantage.
