Academic Work is looking for a Software Developer to our client FinScan Oy.
This job is a staffing position, which means that you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at FinScan Oy.
JOB DUTIES
As a Software Developer your main task during the first year is to create a user interface from the beginning. Company’s UI will be created to serve the customers both in a logical and visual way. Your colleagues will support and advice you, but you need to work independently and it requires own initiative. The induction will last approximately six months, since you will be introduced to company’s processes and its business thoroughly. The team consists of seven software developers.
After finishing the user interface project you have the opportunity to work with diverse range of challenging tasks according to your interests. You have a chance to develop your skills and knowledge. In the future it is possible to travel to different countries across the globe and work with AI, VR and/or neural networks. WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate has a relevant academic background within IT and minimum six months relevant work experience from the field. You could be a graduate or someone with more experience. We expect you to have strong knowledge of C++, C# or Java and willingness to learn new technologies. Interest to work with user interfaces and understanding of relational databases (SQL) are required – since your role focuses on User Interface Design. As an employee you have hands-on attitude and motivation to develop your skills and broaden your knowledge. You have a proactive attitude towards working and you are eager to learn new work methods and technologies. Fluent English is a requirement and Finnish is considered as an advantage.
