About the role
Academic Work is looking for a Software Developer for our client Arter Oy.

Job duties
In this position, you will take part in product development projects. Together with your team you will develop software solutions that help Arter’s clients to make their business more efficient. Technologies you will be using are mostly, but not limited to, Java and React. Depending on your skills and interest, you can develop either back-end or front-end parts of the software; of course, if you are talented enough there is an opportunity to become a Full-Stack Developer. Atmosphere at Arter is professional but relaxed; after a long day you can compete with your colleagues on table tennis or Xbox games.
The technologies used in the team are:
- Java (Spring)
- JavaScript (React, Angular.js, Backbone.js)
- HTML5, CSS3
- SQL / NoSQL
This position suits you who have experience in software development and are interested in working on product development. You will get a chance to work in a growing software company and affect how Arter’s solutions are going to look in the future.
We are looking for
Thanks to your strong interest and education in software development, you have gained strong enough understanding of Java and JS libraries (React, Backbone.js) so that you can independently contribute in a team. It doesn’t matter if you have gained your skills through own projects or work-life; the most important part is that you can independently develop software. There are experienced developers in a team to support you when needed.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Software development experience (Through own projects or work-life)
- Good knowledge in Java (Spring) and familiarity in databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Good knowledge in JavaScript and its libraries (e.g. React)
- Relevant education or finishing studies
- Fluent in English
- Basic understanding of Finnish
It is seen as an advantage if you have knowledge in UI/UX, automation testing and/or fluent Finnish skills.
