Academic Work is looking for System Development Specialist to our client company Konecranes in Hämeenlinna.
This job is a staffing position, which means that you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at our client company.
As a System Development Specialist you are part of Konecranes’ Product Configurator team which develops Sales Solutions for the frontline organizations in close co-operation with Product Management teams. Your main task is to support key users in sales tool rollouts that Konecranes utilize in their cranes’ sales. You also work with the developing of the tool by adding new company data to the tool and adjusting parameters according to companies’ needs. In addition, you are responsible for coordinating development requests to successful implementations and creating functional specifications to new requests with business stakeholders. The job also includes some programming and testing changes and new functionalities.

The person we are looking for:
Our ideal candidate has a degree in a suitable technical field, e.g. mechanical, electrical or software engineering. Your academic background helps you to learn crane components and the rules related to them. You already have programming skills, preferably in Visual Basic and .Net environments. Experience in any other programming language is seen as an advantage. In addition, we expect you to have previous experience in mechanical engineering and/or software development. Project work requires that you are excellent at coordinating and able to lead things forward independently. You take initiative and have good communication skills. You also have good prioritizing skills and tolerance for stress, since there are many schedules to follow. You are fluent in English. Finnish and/or German is considered as an advantage.
